Perthshire is an absolutely stunning place. It's renown for it's ancient trees, beautiful hills, and sparkling rivers. Having spent a good number of weekends at Bankhead, we thought we ought to share some tips we've learned over the years.
Saturday was a beautiful sunny day, which was why we went pike fishing on dull, dreary Sunday. After a very early catch (see above right), there was great optimism that more would follow. Unfortunately the fish refused to bite and that was it for the day. Bring on the warmer Spring weather when the fish will become more interested in our bait. Rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub:

Initial plans were to post as two people under one pseudonym (hence "bramble", our mutual favourite soft fruit), but P never could be bothered to post anything. So now it's just akatsukira on her tod. She has now ported to akatsukira.com, but is still maintaining these blogspot pages. Leave her a note anywhere; she still cares.
We started this weblog to showcase some of the delights of Perthshire, where we have spent many enjoyable weekends over the years. P's parents have a farm on the A923 between Dunkeld and Blairgowrie, and we're setting up a website to help promote their bed and breakfast online.
This journal will document the changing seasons that make up life at Bankhead.
